How it works

1. Add everyone once. Type each name in the Members box below. If someone new turns up on the day, choose + Add a new player… in any player list on Play.
2. After each game, one person opens Play, picks the four players on the side of the court they played, left or right, enters the score and taps Save match. Most games are one set; for a longer match, tap + Add another set.
3. See the result. Saving takes you to Rankings, which shows how much each player moved. Rankings update for everyone as soon as a match is saved.
4. Rotating partners. With the same four, tap Next rotation at the top of Play to fill in the next pairing. After three games everyone has partnered everyone once, and it starts again.

The rankings

• Overall: everyone starts at 1000. A win moves your rating up and a loss moves it down. Beating a higher-rated pair moves it more than beating a lower-rated one, so a win with a strong partner counts for a little less.
• Left side and Right side: separate ratings that only count games played on that side of the court.
• Partners: how often each pair wins when they play together.

Good to know

• Photos: in History, tap Add a photo for today, even before any games are saved. Earlier days have their own Add a photo. Tap a photo to see it full size or remove it.
• Made a mistake? Open History and tap Remove on the match, then add it again. An Undo button shows for a few seconds if you remove the wrong one.
• Keep it on your phone: on iPhone, open it in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. On Android, open the Chrome menu and tap Add to Home screen.
